The Samsung Galaxy Note20 series rumored to arrive on August 5 has been certified by NFC Forum, taking it a step closer to the launch.
Two models are listed on NFC Forum's website - SM-981U and SM-986U believed to be the Galaxy Note20 and Note20+, respectively. However, it's unclear whether SM-986U is the Note20+ because it was listed on Bluetooth SIG's site as the Note20 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Note20 lineup bags NFC certification
The listings on NFC Forum's website don't include any specifications of the two smartphones, but SM-986U was spotted on Geekbench back in April with Android 10, 8GB RAM and what's believed to be the unannounced Snapdragon 865+ SoC.
The SM-986U was recently put through HTML5 Test and the results revealed the smartphone will pack a 19.3:9 display of 3096x1444-pixel resolution. The screen is rumored to have a refresh rate of 120Hz.
We should hear more about the Note20 lineup in the coming weeks and will hopefully have more clarity on whether SM-986U is the Note20+ or the Note20 Ultra.
