Moto E (2nd gen) receives a price cut in India

Motorola has slashed the price of the second-generation Moto E smartphone in India by INR 1,000 ($16). The price cut is applicable on both 3G and 4G LTE variants of the device, which are now available for INR 5,999 ($94) and INR 6,999 ($110), respectively on Flipkart.

In addition, the online retailer is also running an exchange offer under which you can trade-in your old smartphone and get an additional INR 2,000 ($31) off. Finally, Airtel customers purchasing the handset will also get double the data for a limited period of time.

The price cut comes just a few days before the company's July 28 event, where it is expected to launch multiple devices, including third-generation Moto G and Moto X.
